Welcome to my page. I am the mom of an incredible young man with autism. I have felt the frustration, the exhaustion, the self blame, the hopelessness. the fear, and the sadness. I have sat in my car crying before IEP meetings (and let's be honest, after them too). I have also nearly BURST with overwhelming joy watching him accomplish something that I never thought would be possible. It is a rollercoaster people! And most days I felt like a phone with 1% battery running on caffeine, and a prayer. If any part of this resonates with you, you are in the right place and I am here for you!
That's why I created this group. Whether your child was just diagnosed or you are looking for ways to support your adult child’s independence, THIS GROUP IS FOR YOU. Here you can ask advice, provide advice (activate the village!), celebrate wins-big and small and have a community to lean on.
And while we are at it, I am here to provide you with the tools and encouragement you need to keep your own battery charged. Remember, When the O2 masks drop on a plane, you have to put yours on first!
